The Intel® Optane™ memory is a system acceleration solution that can be used to increase responsiveness on supported Intel platforms.

What should you know before start?
  • If you are not clear about having an Intel® Optane™ memory device in your system, learn how to check it in How to Confirm If Intel® Optane™ Memory Is Being Used in My System.
  • If you are not sure about the type of Intel® Optane™ memory device in your system (Intel® Optane™ Memory M Series or Intel® Optane™ Memory H Series), contact your system vendor to confirm the device type.
  • Intel® Optane™ memory H Series devices are available as part of a complete system. If you find issues or a need to disable acceleration, such as reinstall the OS or back up data, we strongly recommend that you work with your system vendor before changes are made. There may be system customizations specific to the platform.
