Troubleshooting Connection Issues for Intel® WiDi Version 4.x

To resolve a connection issue, try each step in the order shown below. Stop when you resolve the issue.

  1. Close Intel® WiDi, reopen the application, click Scan for available adapters, click Connect.
  2. Shut down the computer, restart it, then open Intel WiDi. Click Scan for available adapters, click Connect.
  3. Power on/off the TV adapter, click Scan for available adapters, click Connect. See adapter manual for help resetting the adapter.
  4. Check the laptop firewall settings. See how to manually allow the program through the firewall.

If the above steps don't resolve your issue, your adapter might need a firmware update. Contact the adapter manufacturer for instructions on updating your adapter's firmware.
