The reference chassis listed below includes the chassis that were tested to determine whether they provide adequate airflow to keep critical server components within the individual manufacturer's temperature specifications for Intel® Server Board S3200SH.

  1. Chassis Legend:
    • 1U = Rack (U is multiple of 1.75 inches.)
    • 2U = Rack (U is multiple of 1.75 inches.)
    • 3U = Rack (U is multiple of 1.75 inches.)
    • 4U = Rack (U is multiple of 1.75 inches.)
    • FT = Full Tower
    • FS = File Server

  2. Power Supply:

  3. Thermal Test Level:
    • Intel performs system-level thermal testing of a given Intel® Server Board in all listed 3rd-party reference chassis. The Intel® Server Board is configured to use a generic fan control scheme that operates all attached system fans at 100% pulse width modulation (PWM). The generic fan control scheme is set by selecting the OTHER CHASSIS option using the FRUSDR Configuration Utility.

      Intel cannot guarantee that specific system configurations will remain within maximum thermal limits if you choose to modify and reduce the fan control PWM rate from the tested configuration. If you choose to modify the fan control PWM rate, you're wholly responsible for all required thermal validation to ensure your system configurations stay within specified maximum thermal limits.
    • This level refers to the highest level of testing that successfully completed Intel's thermal testing. The chassis configuration summary is provided below:
