What am I seeing?
You see this stop error message on an Intel® Server Board S5500 Series and Intel® Xeon® Processor 5500 Series–based server that is running Windows Server 2008* R2. Windows Server 2008* R2 has Hyper-V* role installed: 0x00000101 - CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT
Why am I seeing it?
This issue occurs only in x64 bit Windows OS with Hyper-V installed. This issue isn't specific with Intel® hardware, but it's related to Windows*. You can resolve this issue after applying the Hotfix below.
How to fix it
- Update the BIOS to latest version available.
- Install a supported Hotfix available by going to Microsoft to download the Hotfix.
- Update other OS update packages.
