Content Type: Install & Setup   |   Article ID: 000007372   |   Last Reviewed: 03/03/2025

The system Power Supply is in a degraded or in a failed state if any of the following is encountered:

  • Front Panel Status LED is blinking green.
  • Information regarding a failed or degraded Power Supply is written in the System Event Logs.
  • In the Active System Console, under Power Supply, the status indicates Failed.
  • The redundant PSU LED is amber (if checked physically at the back of the chassis).
Notes
  • If the redundant Power Supply is removed in the chassis, there is no alarm. Audible Alarm Beep is usually heard when HDD RAID Failure / Degraded State (when using Add-on Hardware RAID Controller) or Memory Issues.
  • Contact Support if you need warranty assistance on a power supply present on an Intel® Server System.
