May Need Additional Reboot When Installing Intel® Extreme Graphics Driver

What am I seeing?

  • Limited resolutions and color depth selections available after installing the graphics driver
  • System does not allow power-saving functionality to be invoked


What is the cause?
This graphics driver has not completely loaded all of the necessary modules. The default VGA is driving the display.

How do I fix this?
The driver and subsequent modules must completely load prior to a reboot. A secondary reboot may be needed to complete the process.
