Helping kids connect to their future
A private 5G network empowers a community
How 5G is connecting students to better futures
5G helps bring remote spaces closer together. After Laetaata Floyd Elementary needed to adjust to a digital classroom, 5G made it possible to connect all their students to the resources they need.
When COVID-19 turned Leataata Floyd Elementary School remote, it became apparent that one out of five students lacked at-home internet to complete their assignments and learn new skills. Through a partnership with Intel, the school received its own private 5G network, along with the nearby low-income housing and the community center. With these essential connection hubs, students are now able to receive the education they need for the future.
