Why ares some IP Cores incorrectly reported in the IP Upgrade dialog?

Environment

  • Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
  • Transceiver Native PHY Intel® Arria® 10 Cyclone® 10 FPGA IP
  • Interlaken - 100G for 28nm and 20nm devices (PRIMARY) IP-ILKN/100G
  • Triple-Speed Ethernet Intel® FPGA IP
  • XAUI PHY Intel® FPGA IP
  • Interlaken - 50G for 28nm and 20nm devices (PRIMARY) IP-ILKN/50G
  • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description

    Due to a problem, Quartus® Prime Pro Edition IP Cores generated by the v16.1 versions of software may report an incorrect IP Variant Type and incorrect release note link in the IP Upgrade table prior to running synthesis.

    Resolution

    To correct this issue, simply perform IP Upgrade on any affected IP Core variant.

    This problem has been fixed starting in software versions 17.0 and above.
