Back-Annotate Assignments Dialog Box

Allows you to copy device and resource assignments made during compilation into the , thereby preserving the current fit for future compilations. You can use the Back-Annotate Assignments dialog box (Default type) to preserve pin, cell, routing, or device assignments, or you can use the Back-Annotate Assignments dialog box (Advanced type) to preserve LogicLock regions and employ more advanced back-annotation options. You can select the back-annotation type in the Back-annotation type list.

Device assignment— Back-annotates the devices used in the last compilation. Preexisting cell assignments are retained, as are preexisting node locations, unless the node has a newly compiled location.
Pin & device assignments— Back-annotates device and pin assignments used in the last compilation. Preexisting cell assignments are retained, as are preexisting node locations, unless the node has a newly compiled location.
Pin, cell & device assignments— Back-annotates pin, cell, and device assignments used in the last compilation. Preexisting cell assignments are retained, as are preexisting node locations, unless the node has a newly compiled location.
Demote cell assignments to— Demotes all cell assignments to LABs, MegaLAB rows, MegaLAB columns, MegaLABs, LABs/ESBs, LABs/EABs, rows, or columns.
Pin, cell, routing & device assignments— Back-annotates pin, cell, routing, and device assignments used in the last compilation. Preexisting cell assignments are retained, as are preexisting node locations, unless the node has a newly compiled location. Stores all routing information in a Routing Constraints File (.rcf).
Delay Chains— Back-annotates delay chains in designs targeting supported device( MAX II) families.
Resource Allocation assignments— Back-annotates device resource assignments.

Device— Back-annotates the device used in the last compilation. Turning on Delay chains back-annotates delay chains in the device.
LogicLock Regions— Back-annotates all LogicLock regions used in the last compilation. Clicking Region Filter allows you to specify which regions you want to back-annotate. Turning on Lock size and origin sets the size and location of all auto-sized and floating LogicLock regions to the values determined by the Compiler during the last compilation.
