Colorado Engineering, Inc. was founded in 2003. It has become a leader in the design and development of Radio Frequency (RF) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems. In 2021, it was acquired by Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions (CAES) to become its Advanced Technology and Engineering (AT&E) unit in the Missile Systems division. AT&E stresses the cross-discipline expertise of its engineering staff to enable optimum decisions across hardware, software, firmware, and systems design activities. AT&E’s principal and systems engineers have over 20 years of hands-on design experience in electronic/electrical systems. This includes hardware experience with RF domain, both digital and analog systems/sub-systems, Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) design, Multi-Chip Modules (MCMs), Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs), and system/sub-system integration and test. AT&E’s software experience covers assembly to web/apps and includes real-time code, Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, embedded development, and enterprise-level applications. AT&E’s firmware experience encompasses complex board design with multiple Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) and programming expertise with Verilog, Very High-Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language (VHDL) and OpenCL. AT&E also designed and developed systems for radar, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Electronic Intelligence (ELINT), Electronic Warfare (EW), Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Security/Information Assurance, Grid Computing, Social Networking Architectures, Autonomous Provisioning, and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR).
