The application of Time-of-Flight technology (ToF) in clinical context is revolutionizing how remote monitoring can reduce patient fall risks or even prevent the incident. imedtac combines the Internet of Medical Things technology (IoMT) and AI, allowing healthcare organizations such as long-term care facilities, inpatient mental health services, rehabilitation centers, etc. to proactively reduce falls and prevent hospitalizations. The Solution has no wearables but rather, comes with ToF sensors to recognize body movements in a real-time manner -- with an edge computer. It’s designed to link the ToF Server, which is connected to EMR, with nursing station, mobile devices and the Cloud. If the patient movement is recognized as high risk of fall, the system will immediately send out alert notifications to the caregivers – reducing falls thanks to four categories of in-bed movements by the Algorithm. - HIPAA- inspired care implementation- ToF: using IR module instead of camera surveillance, protecting PHI- Non-wearable: no chance of cross infection or disinfection - AI algorithm in play: increasing the recognition accuracy
