Purpose & Features

This is a release of the Intel vRAN Baseband Driver and Tools for VMware ESXi. This software is for 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Edge Enhanced Processors (with Intel vRAN Boost 1.0) and Intel vRAN Accelerator ACC100 Adapter. This software enables and configures single root I/O virtualization (SR-IOV) for the Intel vRAN acceleration on VMware ESXi. SR-IOV enables the creation of virtual functions (VFs) from a single Intel vRAN device to support hardware acceleration for multiple guest virtual machines (VMs).

Notes

This software release 2.1.0.134 is replacing 2.0.0.86 which has been recalled due to IPS-00899707 which prevents VMware Telco automation from correctly configuring vRAN device (see details about the issue in Release Notes).
