Identify which package meets your current and future design requirements.

Identify “Device Specification” that you are planning to migrate to.

Identify which migration scenario is involved in your planning, either Conditional or Vertical migration.

Ensure that you have implemented the board design requirement for Conditional migration scenario.

The scope for this device migration guidelines is only applicable to the Agilex™ 3 device family.

Depending on the device that you are planning to migrate to, there are two possible migration scenarios that you may encounter, which is called Conditional Migration and Vertical Migration.

Review the Agilex™ 3 product table to determine which package meets your current and future design requirement when performing migration. Consider which “Device Specification” that you are planning to migrate to. Understand the resource differences of your migration device to determine which of the migration category involves, either Conditional or Vertical. Ensure that you have pre-planned your board design to support the device that you are planning to migrate under Conditional migration category.
