2.3.1. Performing Remote System Update Debugging

To perform remote system update debugging:
  1. Click Hardware Setup to select a hardware setup to use for debugging.
  2. Click Load Device and select a device from the drop-down list if more than one device exists in the hardware setup.
  3. Click Flash.
    Note: The Flash tab is disabled if the selected device is not SDM-based.
  4. Click Auto-detect to auto-detect the QSPI Flash that is attached to the device.
  5. Click Remote System Update.
  6. Click Reset when you wish to reset the page.
  7. Click Image Update to trigger reconfiguration of an image at the specified start address.
  8. Click Read Image Address (Configuration Pointer Block) to list all the application image addresses from the Configuration Pointer Block (CPB0 or CPB1).
  9. Click Read Image Address (Sub-partition Table) to list all the RSU partitions information from the Sub-partition Table (SPT0 or SPT1).
  10. Click Read RSU Status to read the current RSU status information that includes:
    • Current images address displays the current image address.
    • Failing image address displays the failing image address when an error occurs.
    • Error code and corresponding Error Type upon the RSU failure.
    • Version displays the current software version.
    • Error Source displays the source information of the error.
    • Error Location displays the error location of the failing image.
    • Error Details displays the error details of the failing image.
    • Current Image Retry displays the current image retry counter value.
  11. Click Clear (Current Image Retry Counter) to clear the Current Image Retry Counter value.
  12. Click Clear (Error Log) to remove the Error Log data.
