1.3. Downloading the Intel® HLS Compiler Pro Edition
Download the Intel® HLS Compiler Pro Edition from the Quartus® Prime Download Center.
The Intel® HLS Compiler Pro Edition is installed as part of your Quartus® Prime Pro Edition installation package or from a separate standalone installer.
Download the Intel® HLS Compiler Pro Edition standalone installer when you want to add the Intel® HLS Compiler to an existing Quartus® Prime Pro Edition installation.
The Intel® HLS Compiler Pro Edition Version 24.1 is compatible with the following Quartus® Prime software:
- Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Version 24.1
- Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Version 23.4
- Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Version 23.3
- Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Version 17.1.1
- Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Version 23.1std
The Intel® HLS Compiler supports only Cyclone® V devices in Quartus® Prime Standard Edition.
- Quartus® Prime Lite Edition Version 23.1std
The Intel® HLS Compiler supports only Cyclone® V devices in Quartus® Prime Lite Edition .
Download the Intel® HLS Compiler from the Quartus® Prime Download Center :
- Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition Design Software for Linux
- Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition Design Software for Windows
The Intel® HLS Compiler Pro Edition standalone installation package is available on the Additional Software tab.
To include the Intel® HLS Compiler Pro Edition in your Quartus® Prime Pro Edition installation, download one of the following combinations of installation packages:
- Download a complete installation package from the Combined Files tab.
- Download a Quartus Prime installation package from the Individual Files tab and download the Intel® HLS Compiler installation package from the Additional Software tab. Place both installation packages in the same directory.

The Intel® HLS Compiler standalone installation package requires you to have an existing Quartus® Prime Pro Edition installation as a target for the Intel® HLS Compiler installation.
