Type Declarations

A type declaration is a nonexecutable statement specifying the data type of one or more variables. The declaration can be specified in an INTEGER, REAL, DOUBLE PRECISION, COMPLEX, DOUBLE COMPLEX, CHARACTER, LOGICAL, ENUM, or TYPE statement. A type declaration statement may also specify attributes for the variables.
