What Are the Supported Processors for Intel VTune Amplifier Memory Access Analysis?

Memory Access Analysis does not support older processors. We have seen Intel® VTune™ Amplifier crashes when run Memory Access Analysis with older processors.

Memory Access analysis supports 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ Processor and Intel® Xeon® Processor Families or later. In addition, it supports the Atom third-generation processor family or later.

If you need to analyze older processors, you can create a custom analysis and pick events that are related to memory accesses. However, you will be limited to memory related events available on those processors.  Please see the VTune Amplifier tuning guides for those processors for information about memory access events.
