Description

This white paper presents a method for comparing the capacity of FPGAs using open-source RISC-V RTL and provides an example comparing two mid-range FPGAs from Altera and Lattice. A link to the source code for the design is included. The data from the example suggests that Altera's Agilex™ 5 FPGA logic element can implement 34% more logic than Lattice's Avant* system logic cell.
