Description
Workloads that involve floating-point calculations underlie important work such as complex calculations, financial transactions, engineering workloads, and more. These workloads are compute-intensive, so selecting a high-performing cloud VM is imperative. To understand which VM might be a good fit for businesses running floating-point calculations, we tested two GCP VM types with the SPECrate®2017 Floating Point benchmark: N2 standard VMs featuring 3rd Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors and C2 standard VMs with 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors.
