The Total Economic Impact™ of Intel vPro® Hardware-Enabled Security Features
Intel commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a study examining the potential security benefits businesses may realize by deploying Intel vPro-based devices. The 2022 study provides a framework for organizations to evaluate the potential financial impact of hardware-enabled security features from Intel-based endpoint devices.
Forrester constructed a Total Economic Impact™ framework for organizations considering an investment in hardware-based security on Intel vPro. The purpose of this study is to provide readers with a framework to evaluate the cost, benefit, flexibility, and risk factors that affect investment decisions and the potential financial impact on their organizations.

Employees lost less productivity due to fewer breaches and a faster recovery from breaches with a total of $167,000 of labor saved over three years.
4 Key Takeaways
Cover All Your Bases. Intel organizations were less likely to experience breaches because of hardware-level and OS-level vulnerabilities, internal incidents, attacks, or incidents involving third-party suppliers, and lost-stolen assets.
Avoid Material Breach Costs. Survey respondents from organizations with over 5,000 employees with primarily Intel vPro-based endpoint devices reported fewer breaches per year on average compared to their non-Intel counterparts.
Retain Employee Productivity. Forrester research has found that employees affected by material security breaches lose an average of 3.6 hours of productivity.
Maintain Customer Trust. The composite organization can retain more customers because it has fewer material breaches, but it also benefits from a faster recovery time, helping protect customer trust.
