The wireless adapter property sheet in Microsoft Windows XP* provides information on the wireless adapter and driver on the computer.
Use one of the following methods to access the wireless adapter properties.
Device Manager
- Click Start » Control Panel.
- Double-click the System icon. Note: Select Switch to classic view if the system icon is not visible.
- Click the Hardware tab.
- Click Device Manager.
- Click the + symbol in front of Network Adapters to expand the section.
- Right-click the wireless adapter.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab to see the wireless adapter property sheet.
My Computer Icon
- Right-click the My Computer icon located on the Desktop.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Hardware tab.
- Click Device Manager.
- Click the + symbol in front of Network Adapters to expand the section.
- Right-click the wireless adapter.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab to see the wireless adapter property sheet.
Network Connections
- Click Start » Control Panel.
- Click Network Connections. Note: If Network Connections is not visible, select Network and Internet Connections » Network Connections.
- Right-click Wireless Network Connection.
- Click Properties.
- Click Configure.
- Click the Driver tab to see the wireless adapter property sheet.
System Tray Icon
- Right-click the network system tray icon (the icon that displays two computer monitors).
- Click Open Network and Connections.
- Right-click Wireless Network Connection.
- Click Properties.
- Click Configure.
- Click the Driver tab to see the wireless adapter property sheet.
Property Sheet Example
Note: If the driver has been officially released, Microsoft* should be listed as the Digital Signer.
