The following options are available to help you identify your adapter and driver:

Intel® Driver Update Utility (Intel® DUU) The easiest way to identify your wireless adapter and driver version. This tool identifies your adapter and updates your driver to the latest version if needed. Note that once the driver has been updated, this will automatically delete the old driver version.

Windows Device Manager Another way to identify your adapter and driver version is to use the Device Manager in Windows.

Complete the following steps to identify your wireless adapter and driver.
In Microsoft Windows 8*
- Right-click anywhere outside the start app buttons.
- In the All App button, select the switch to all app menu item.
- Select the Control Panel.
- Click on System and Security.
- Click on Device Manager.
- Click + Network Adapters to expand the section.
The Intel wireless adapter is listed. For example, Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6235.
- Right-click the wireless adapter.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab to see the wireless adapter property sheet.
- The driver version number is listed in the Driver Version field.

In Microsoft Windows 7*:
- Click Start > Control Panel.
- Click the System and Security. Note: Select Category view if the System and Security icon is not visible.
- On System, click Device Manager.
- Click + Network Adapters to expand the section.
The Intel wireless adapter is listed. For example, Intel® WiFi Link 5300 AGN.
- Right-click the wireless adapter.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab to see the wireless adapter property sheet.
The driver version number is listed in the Driver Version field.

In Windows Vista*:
- Click Start Control Panel.
- Double-click System and Maintenance and Device Manager.
- Click + Network Adapters to expand the section.
The Intel wireless adapter is listed. For example, Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6235.
- Right-click the wireless adapter.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab to see the wireless adapter property sheet.
The driver version number is listed in the Driver Version field.

- Click Start > Control Panel.
- Double-click the System icon. Note: Select Switch to classic view if the system icon is not visible.
- Click the Hardware tab.
- Click Device Manager.
- Click the + Network Adapters to expand the section.
The Intel wireless adapter is listed. For example, Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN.
- Right-click the wireless adapter.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab to see the wireless adapter property sheet.
The driver version number is listed in the Driver Version field.
