Installing the Intel® Solid-State Drive Toolbox

The Intel® Solid-State Drive Toolbox enables Windows* users to update the firmware and run diagnostic tests on their Intel® Solid-State Drive (Intel® SSD). It displays space (used and free) and projected life of the drive. It can also produce a log file that is vital for Intel engineers when diagnosing any Intel® SSD problems.

NOTE: The Intel Solid-State Drive Toolbox is only available for Microsoft Windows* Operating Systems. If you have an Apple* or Linux* computer, then use the Intel® Solid-State Drive Firmware Update Tool. The Toolbox version displayed here is for reference. Your installed version my look slightly different, but the functions are the same.

Installation

After downloading the Intel® Solid-State Drive Toolbox, follow these steps:

  1. Read and accept the license agreement.

  2. Click RUN.

  3. Select a language.

  4. Click Next.

  5. Read and accept the license agreement.

  6. Select destination folder if required and click Next.

  7. Review the Pre-Installation Summary and click Install.

  8. Select the check box Launch the Intel® SSD Toolbox and click Next.

  9. Click Done.

    The Intel® Solid-State Drive Toolbox opens as shown below.
