There are two primary import/export classification Numbers:

• ECCN (Export Control Classification Number)
• HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule)

These numbers apply to TYPES of products, not to individual products.

There is a corporate group that makes sure that Intel is using the appropriate numbers.

Classification numbers can change over time, so don’t assume that the number you used 6 months ago is the number to use today.

To get the current HTS and ECCN numbers send an email to export.classification@intel.com.

Include a short description of the product (desktop board, desktop processor), MM# and Product Code. If you can’t find the MM#, you can include just the Product Code, but Export Compliance can provide an answer much faster if you provide the MM#.

You can request just ECCN or just HTS, but you might as well request both.
