D845EPI technical product specification
This product specification applies only to standard D845EPI boards with BIOS identifier VA84510A.86A. Changes to this specification are published in the D845EPI Desktop Board Specification Update and incorporated into a revision of this document.
Desktop board specification update
This document is an update to the specifications in the D845EPI Technical Product Specification (Order-C46810). This update is intended for hardware system manufacturers and software developers of applications, operating systems, or tools. It has specification changes, errata, specification clarifications, and documentation changes.
- Specification changes are modifications to the current published specifications. These changes are incorporated in the next release of the specifications.
- Errata are design defects or errors. Characterized errata can cause the behavior of the D845EPI desktop board to deviate from published specifications. Hardware and software designed to be used with any given Printed Board Assembly (PBA) and BIOS revision level must assume that all errata documented for that PBA and BIOS revision are present on all desktop boards.
- Specification clarifications describe a specification in greater detail or further highlight a specification's impact to a complex design situation. These clarifications are incorporated in the next release of the specifications.
- Documentation changes include typos, errors, or omissions from the current published specifications. These changes are incorporated in the next release of the specifications.
