Follow the steps below to get the ZIP version of Intel's generic graphics driver.   These steps will show you how to navigate the Intel Download Center web site to manually download a zipped version of the driver files. 

Note:  If you are not looking for the ZIP version of the graphics driver, use the Intel® Driver Update Utility.  Few users need the ZIP version.  The ZIP version is typically used by system administrators, computer manufacturers, or a user who was instructed to do so by an Intel support agent or an Intel support web page. 

1. Identify your computer's Intel graphics controller. You will need this information to locate the correct download for your computer. See Identifying your graphics controller
   
   
2. Access the Intel Download Center Web site.
   
   
3. On the left side of the Intel Download Center Web site, use the product menu to select Graphics, and then Desktop graphics controllers or Laptop graphics controllers.
   
   
   
4. Continue through the product menu selecting the graphics controller or chipset that closely matches the name of your computer's Intel graphics controller or chipset.
   
   For example:
   • If you have the Intel® G965 Express Chipset, select Intel® 82G965 Graphics and Memory Controller Hub (GMCH).
   • If you have the Mobile Intel® 965GM Express Chipset, select Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family.
   • If you have the Intel® 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family, select Intel® 82915G/82910GL Express Chipset Family.
     
     
     
5. Select your operating system.
   
   
6. Click Go!.
   
   
7. If you want to download the latest version of the driver files, look through the list of drivers for the '(zip)' version of the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver and then click Download.
   
   
8. If you want to download an older version of the driver files, click the Previously Released link at bottom of the page. A list of older drivers available will be displayed. Look through the list for the '(zip)' version of the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver and then click Download.
   
   
9. Review the Intel® Software License Agreement and click ACCEPT at the bottom of the agreement.
   
   
10. Click Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver and then click Open to view the driver files or Save to copy the ZIP file to your computer.
