Symptom(s):
- Error: "The IGFXTRAY.EXE file is linked to missing export HCCUTILS.DLL:IsDisplayValid."
- Error: "The HKCMD.EXE file is link to missing export HCCUTILS.DLL:IsDisplayValid."
Cause: These errors can appear when starting Windows* after you revert to a previous version of the graphics drivers. For instance, this can happen when going from a 6.x driver to a 5.x graphics driver.
Solution: 1) Select and copy the text between the rows of asterisks below: **************************************** [Version] signature="$CHICAGO$"

Be sure to select "Save as type: All Files" in the Save dialog box. 3) Navigate to C:\ in Windows* Explorer. 4) Right-click the fixreg.inf file and choose "Install". No confirmation will be given. 5) Reboot the system and the errors will be gone.
