Master's and PhD Fellowships
The Intel Foundation PhD Fellowship Program awards fellowships to PhD candidates doing work in fields related to Intel's business and research interests. These fellowships, only available at select U.S. universities, include a cash award (tuition/fees/stipend), an Intel PC, introduction to an Intel Mentor, and the opportunity to conduct research or an internship at Intel. Approximately 35 fellowships are awarded annually. Contact your school's engineering or computer science department to receive additional information.
Two additional programs make up Intel's suite of graduate fellowships:

The National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering and Science (GEM)

The Intel Foundation collaborates with GEM to help support graduate education for underrepresented minorities at the master's and PhD levels. In addition to providing graduate fellowships coupled with paid summer internships, GEM offers informational publications for graduate and undergraduate students. GEM has a successful record of implementing effective programs to increase the recruitment, retention, and graduation of minority students.
Please contact GEM for any questions about its program or application process.

The Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC)

The Intel Foundation collaborates with SRC to help support master's and PhD level programs for women and underrepresented minorities in the area of semiconductor research. SRC supports over 1,100 advanced degree students each year on contracts guided by the SRC core research program. These students have demonstrated academic and research excellence in disciplines critical to the semiconductor industry through their participation in national conferences, invention disclosures, technical awards, and publications.
Please contact SRC for any questions about its program or application process.
