5/5/89 Intel California merged with and into Intel Delaware. Intel Delaware is the surviving corporation.
Intel's initial public offering and the opening price
Intel went public October 13, 1971 at a price of USD 23.50 per share or 2.0 cents adjusted for our 13 subsequent stock splits.
Intel has increased its dividend a number of times over the last several years (adjusted for splits). See table summary. The board of directors considers the appropriate level of dividends each quarter when the dividend is declared.
We believe it is in the best interest of stockholders to reinvest our earnings into the future of the company in research and development. In addition, we use cash for our stock buyback program and merger and acquisition activity.
