Intel® Higher Education Curriculum Forum - VLSI CurriculumIntel® Higher Education Curriculum Forum - VLSI Curriculum

The VLSI Curriculum includes content for 16 undergraduate and graduate courses that were provided by the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at the University of Michigan. The undergraduate courses give students a broad background in the fundamentals (including logic design, computer architecture, programming, device physics, circuit fundamentals, large- and small-signal transistor circuits), combined with project-oriented design courses that leverage commercially available CAD tools. The graduate courses provide further breadth and depth, including circuit fabrication, compilers and operating systems, computer architecture, CAD, digital testing, advanced MOS technology, logic circuit synthesis and optimization, and a broader team-based course that focuses on design trade-offs. The Intel ® Higher Education Program would like to recognize University of Michigan faculty members Dr. Rich Brown, Dr. David Blauuw, Dr. Michael Flynn, and Dr. Dennis Sylvester for their work on this project.
