Asked why he pushes his body to new limits, illusionist and endurance artist David Blaine explained: "The only limits that human beings truly have to face are the ones we impose on ourselves. If I can reach inside of myself and remove the boundaries that we learn as little children, then unlimited possibility exists in all of us."
On October 5, 2012, from New York City's Pier 54, the world will interact with David Blaine as never before. In ELECTRIFIED, David will perform a global, interactive feat of endurance, connected to the world's social energy through the Intel-inspired Ultrabook™.
David will withstand the crackling bursts of one million volts for three days and three nights. Seven giant towering metallic orbs will produce arcing bolts of visible electricity through the air. Clad in a custom-designed metal suit and helmet capable of conducting millions of volts of electricity, David will not sleep, eat, or sit for the entire three-day performance.
Audiences around the world can control the orbs, called Tesla Coils, through Ultrabook stations in cities worldwide.
Join Intel and David Blaine in ELECTRIFIED, a visually stunning and never-before-imaged feat that will push the boundaries of David's body and stretch the limits of the world's imagination.
In David's words: "I had a vision of creating a performance the world will always remember, that is historic. Intel is giving me the technology to perform the most daring and shocking thing I've ever done, and has created a way to bring millions of people on a global stage."
