Frequently asked questions:
If my Intel® Ethernet Adapter only has in box support, can I download drivers and software?
No. Only the drivers included with Windows* are available.
Are driver or software updates planned for the adapters that only have in box support?
No updates are planned for the drivers that only have in box support.
If my Intel® Ethernet Adapter only has in box support, can I add it to an Intel ANS team?
This depends on the selected Intel ANS functions enabled in the team. Because there are a number of possible combinations that can change constantly, adding an adapter with only in box support may or may not be possible.
If my Intel® Ethernet Adapter only has in box support, can I configure VLANs on the adapter?
No. Intel® PROSet and Intel ANS are required to configure VLANs. Only base drivers are available with in box support.
My Intel® Ethernet Adapter is not listed in the table above. Is my adapter supported in Windows Server 2008 R2?
The table above lists all of the retail (boxed) versions of Intel® Ethernet Adapters with driver support for Windows Server 2008 R2. Windows Server 2008 R2 driver support is available for many OEM adapters and built-in network connections. Contact your place of purchase or manufacturer to find out if Windows Server 2008 R2 is supported on your system.
