Intel fosters a more proactive consciousness of the spirit of volunteerism by steering community building programs in General Trias, Cavite, where ITPI is located. Employee involvement in programs focusing on health, environment, safety and education have endeared Intel employees to the members of the community they serve.
All year-round, Intel undertakes community programs and projects in the focus areas of education, environment, health and safety and community outreach. Volunteer programs that create a positive impact to communities in Cavite include the Volunteer Matching Grant Program (VMGP), environment conservation activities like the annual Global Earth Day Celebration, Global Coastal Clean-up Day, tree planting, safety consciousness like pedestrian lane painting, and science and technology awareness campaigns, including window tours for students. In education, Intel promotes science and math learning through the Intel Science and Math Excellence Awards (ISMEA) given to outstanding elementary and high school graduates.
Intel has been recognized for its sustained leadership and dedication to environment, health and safety excellence in the community. Our community programs have also raised awareness and shifted residents' attitudes toward sustaining the environment. Intel's role–modeling of corporate responsibility has positively influenced the local–government unit (LGU)–wide policies and programs, implementation structures, systems and services and it has significantly improved the environment conditions of our host communities. In fact, in 2005, Mayor Luis Ferrer IV (Municipal Mayor of General Trias) has declared General Trias as a Town of Volunteers, in the tradition and spirit of Intel's employee volunteer program, Intel Involved.

Community Solutions is a world wide program of corporate affairs. It initially began in 2002 as an informal function that brokers relationships between community representatives seeking technical advice from Intel, and Intel technology business groups that could respond to such requests. Today, Intel Community Solutions is a specialized group of Intel corporate affairs practitioners worldwide who leverage Intel core competencies to accomplish several objectives:
