Why is CvP unable to recover with a good core bitstream after failing when configuring from a truncated or corrupted core bitstream in the Agilex™ 5 FPGA devices?

Environment

    Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description

In Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.3, the CvP configuration fails when configuring using a truncated or corrupted core bitstream in the Agilex™ 5 FPGA devices. CvP is unable to recover for subsequent reconfiguration with a good core bitstream. The device is still functioning and running with the original core image, but is unable to proceed with the subsequent CvP update.

Resolution

To work around this problem, you can recover by power cycling the device. This problem is planned to be fixed in a future release of Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
