Description
Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software version 23.1 or earlier, you may see this error message in the terminal, and the default internet browser (Firefox) does not launch when you click the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Help Topics. This problem occurs due to a Firefox library incompatibility on the following Operating System (OS).
List of impacted OS:
- Red Hat* Enterprise Linux* 9.0
- Red Hat* Enterprise Linux* 9.1
- SUSE* Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP3
- SUSE* Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5
Resolution
To work around this problem, install and use the Chrome web browser to navigate to the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Help for the following OS:
- Red Hat* Enterprise Linux* 9.0
- Red Hat* Enterprise Linux* 9.1
- SUSE* Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP3
Note that the Chrome web browser is not supported on SUSE* Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5 OS. Use SUSE* Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP3 OS instead.
