Why is the Intel Agilex® 7 E-Tile transceiver reference clock REFCLK_GXE termination assignment being ignored by the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.2 and earlier Fitter?

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.2 and earlier, the Quartus Fitter reports that the .qsf assignments for Intel Agilex® 7 E-Tile reference clock termination are ignored.

This problem is a reporting error, the termination is correctly applied.

 

Resolution

This problem is fixed beginning with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 22.1.
