Why does the Arria® 10 FPGA HPS take a long time to load the Linux kernel image from the QSPI flash in uboot v2022.04?

Environment

  • Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
  • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description

The Arria® 10 FPGA HPS takes a long time to load the Linux kernal image from the QSPI flash to DRAM when using the uboot v2022.04.

This is because the wrong phase-locked loop (PLL) is configured from dts, which causes low frequency in the QSPI clock.

    Resolution

This problem has been fixed in uboot v2022.07.
