Why does the RX ready status for FHT designs in the F-Tile Transceiver Toolkit change to “not ready” permanently upon stopping and restarting incoming data in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 22.3?

Environment

  • Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
  • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description

Due to a problem with the F-Tile Transceiver Toolkit, the RX ready status of a channel changes to a “not ready” status if the eye height is measured and the incoming data transmission on that channel is stopped. Upon resuming the data transmission, RX ready status remains “not ready” permanently.
This problem also affects the Autosweep functionality when including eye height as a metric.

    Resolution

The current workaround is to reprogram the device and restart the F-Tile Transceiver Toolkit.
This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
