Due to a problem in Quartus® Prime Lite EditionSsoftware version 19.1 and above, the following error will occur when compiling the IP Compiler for PCI Express for Cyclone® IV FPGA because the folder of ../ip_compiler_for_pci_express is missing.
Error: altgx_internal: error copying "../ip/altera/ip_compiler_for_pci_express/lib/altpcie_serdes_3cgx_x1d_gen1_08p.v": no such file or directory
while executing
"file copy -force $source_file $outdir/$output_file"
(procedure "my_generation_callback" line 73)
invoked from within

There is no plan to fix the above problem.
To work around this problem, copy the following ip_compiler_for_pci_express folder from Quartus® Prime Lite Edition Software version 18.1 into the same location as the newer version of Quartus® Prime Lite Edition software.
