BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 13.0, you may see the error message below when trying to connect the Nios® II debugger or run nios2-download.

Using cable "USB-BlasterII [1-1.1]", device 1, instance 0x00
Pausing target processor: not responding.
Resetting and trying again: FAILED
Leaving target processor paused

Resolution This problem has been fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 13.1.
