Why does the SignalTap II Logic Analyzer crash with a fatal error?

Environment

    Quartus® II Subscription Edition
BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 13.1 Update 3 and later, the SignalTap™ II Logic Analyzer may crash with a fatal error when acquisitions are started concurrently on multiple instances.
Resolution

To work around this problem, download and install patch 4.33 from the links below. You must install the Quartus II software version 13.1 Update 4 before installing this patch.


This problem is scheduled to be fixed in future release of the Quartus II software.
