What instruction register (IR) lengths are supported in JTAG chain by the Intel®  Quartus®  Prime Programmer?

Description

When you define the instrustion register (IR) length of an unknow device in JTAG chain using New Device feature of Add Device feature of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Programmer, you can choose one of the following numbers.

 

2 to 31, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180, 200, 220, 240, 250, 255

 

Even if you import a boundary scan description language (*.bsd, *.bsm, *.bsdl) file with IR length larger than 255, the Programmer tool can't support it.
