Error (12002): Port "strobe_n_io" does not exist in macrofunction "dq_ddio.ubidir_dq_dqs"

Environment

    Quartus® II Subscription Edition
BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description

You may see the above error message when compiling a DDR2 hard memory controller with the DQS# Enable option under the Memory Parameters tab not selected.

 

Resolution

To work around this error, open the <variation_name>_p0_acv_hard_io_pads.v file and comment out the following line:

//.strobe_n_io (mem_dqs_n[i])
