Description
Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 14.1 and earlier you may encounter the following errors while compiling design targeting an Arria® 10 device incorporating transceivers.
Error (15307): The user assignments for the project could not be applied due to errors.
Error (16297): An error has occurred while trying to initialize the floorplan stage.
These errors may occur when the pin location assignments for the transceiver related serial data pins result in no legal placement solutions.
Resolution
Review your transceiver related serial data pin location assignments to verify legality.
This error message is scheduled to be improved to be more informative in a future release of the Quartus II software.
