Error:286034 Cannot find Memory Initialization File or Hexadecimal (Intel-Format) File db/<name>.hdl.mif

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 13.1, you may see this error message when you compile a revision whose name is different than the project name.

Resolution

To work around this problem, perform the following actions:

  1. Switch to the revision with the same name as the project (creating that revision if it doesn\'t exist)
  2. Switch back to the other revision before compiling

Alternatively you can delete the db and incremental_db directories.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
