Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software versions 10.0 and later, clicking on the Documentation link in the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager may generate the below message and fail to launch your web browser on Windows platforms.

To work around this problem, perform the following steps:

  1. Create a Windows batch file on your local drive with the contents below:
    "<full_path_to_your_web_browser_executable>" %1
    • Replace <full_path_to_your_web_browser_executable> with the full path of your web browser executable.
  2. Configure your Quartus II web browser path to point to this batch file.
    1. Point to Options on the Tools menu.
    2. Select Internet Connectivity under the General category.
    3. Set the Web browser variable to point to your batch file.

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 11.0.
