The RapidIO II IP core checks only the first bit of an incoming control symbol. As a result, it could mistake a corrupted control symbol for a different, valid control symbol.
When the RapidIO II IP core receives a corrupted control symbol, it does not track the control symbol delimiter correctly, and it might incorrectly interpret part of the input data stream as a control symbol. The impact of the issue depends on the type of control symbol that is erroneously detected and on the state of the system when the IP core erroneously identifies the control symbol.
This issue has no workaround.
This issue is fixed in version 13.0 SP1 of the RapidIO II MegaCore function.
