Why do I see the following Qsys warnings when I open a Quartus II 13.0sp1 version of a Stratix IV GX/T Transceiver Toolkit example design?

Environment

  • Stratix® IV GT FPGA
  • Stratix® IV GX FPGA
  • Arria® II GX FPGA
  • Quartus® II Subscription Edition
  • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description

    You may see the following Qsys warnings when if you open a Quartus® II 13.0sp1 version of a Stratix® IV GX/T Transceiver Toolkit example designs:

    • Warning: xcvr_low_latency_phy_0: Used altera_xcvr_low_latency_phy 13.0 (instead of 100.99.98.97)
    • Warning: System.xcvr_low_latency_phy_0: Upgrade from Low Latency PHY 11.0 is not supported. Please create new IP variant.
    Resolution

    To eliminate these warnings, follow these steps:

    1. Unarchive Transceiver Toolkit example design.
    2. Copy the \'ip\' directory from /siv_4ch_10b_2500mbps to the main project directory created in step 1.

    This problem will be fixed in a future version of the Stratix IV GX/T Transceiver Toolkit example designs.
