Environment

    Quartus® II Subscription Edition
BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT

Critical Issue

Description

Because of a problem in the Quartus® II software v14.0A10, the following IP cores fail to upgrade during automatic upgrade, even though the GUI states that automatic upgrade is supported for the cores:

  • Partial reconfiguration (fails to migrate)
  • Intel® Arria® 10 Transceiver Native PHY (v13.1A10 fails to migrate)
  • Intel® Arria® 10 FPLL (v13.1A10 fails to migrate)
Resolution

To work around this problem, remove the IP core from your design and re-instantiate a new instance of the IP core v14.0A10.
