Warning (287001): Assertion warning: The data[] port is connected but aload or sload are not connected or are ground. This means the data will be ignored

Description

Due to a problem in Quartus® II software versions 11.1 and later, you may see this warning for designs containing the LPM_COUNTER megafunction. The warning may occur when only one of the aload or sload signals are unconnected; the warning should only be generated when both signals are unconnected.

Resolution

This warning can be safely ignored if one of the aload or sload signals are connected.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
