What should I do if I receive a MAX PLUS® II internal error?

Description An internal error in the MAX PLUS II software indicates that the software diagnostics have discovered an error. Usually this internal error indicates a problem in the software or insufficient memory.

If you receive a MAX PLUS II internal error, file a service request on www.altera.com/Mysupport

The MAX PLUS II version that you are using (and whether you have tried to use the latest version).

  1. The exact error message and when the error occurred (e.g., in the Database Builder during compilation).
  2. The frequency of the error (e.g., every time you perform a certain action, randomly, every third compilation).
  3. Your system information, including the following:
    • Brand of computer
    • Operating system and version
    • Memory
    • Free disk space
    • The design files that generate the error (e.g., the <design file>.acf and <design file>.gdf).
    • Which device you are using.
    • Any additional information about the problem.
